- Project Title: Implementation of VisitorAware at Westminster Catawba Christian School
- Duration: August 2024 – October 2024
- Objective: To enhance campus security and streamline visitor management by implementing the VisitorAware system, ensuring efficient check-ins and safeguarding personal information.
- Role and Responsibilities:
- Needs Analysis: Collaborated with school administrators to identify requirements for a modern and secure visitor management system.
- System Selection: Conducted thorough research to select VisitorAware, a system that offers features like facial recognition and integration capabilities.
- Training: Designed tutorial videos for parents and staff, and also case scenarios for the school's receptionists.
- Instructional Design and Development:
- Parents and Students: Created tutorial videos using Canva, replicating the iPad interface to guide users through app functionalities. The voice of the videos is AI generated.
- Staff Training: Developed comprehensive guidelines addressing data privacy and scenario-based protocols, ensuring staff maintained the school's welcoming atmosphere while adhering to security protocols.
- Data Management: Collaborated with VisitorAware engineers to integrate student data from the school's FACTS system, utilizing Excel for data preparation.
- Implementation and Support: Provided hands-on training sessions for receptionists and security guards on the VisitorAware portal, iPad usage, and printer operations.
- Communication and Promotion: Designed infographics and posters to promote the new system and worked with the school's graphic designer to update the website and monthly newsletters.
